Ways to Remove Unwanted Hair

Unwanted hair ugh! This is one of the things that a lot of women find very inconvenient! For example, underarm hair. A woman can't wear a sleeveless dress if there's a great amount of hair growth under her arms because that would be gross. Although there are some countries around the world where this thing doesn't matter. But generally, showing underarm hair in women is simply unpleasant to look at. Besides underarm hair, hair in the bikini line is also one of the most common problems for women, especially during summer when its time to wear the swimsuit and bikini!

These days, there are lots of ways available in order to get rid of unwanted hair. Some of these are shaving, depilation, plucking, waxing, and laser removal.

This is one of the commonly used methods among women, and men too, since it's very easy and just takes a few minutes. But this method is just temporary since it only cuts the hair from the surface. More often than not, it just makes the hair grow quicker and the tip blunter and more noticeable.

This is another hair removal method that uses specially-formulated depilatory creams, lotions and sprays. All these need to be applied exactly where the hair growth occurs. Much care is needed when using this method as it can cause skin allergies and burns. Before using depilatory creams it would be beneficial to consult a doctor first.

This method involves removing the hairs one by one with a tweezer. This is most convenient to use when removing a few hairs like on the face or eyebrows. It's not advisable to use in larger areas since it can cause ingrown hairs. Plucking for the armpit and bikini line? That would be a big ouch!

We hear about waxing often not only for women but men as well. But did you know that there are several types of waxing methods? Some of them are Hot Waxing and Sugar Waxing. Hot waxing can be tricky because the hot wax might cause burns on the skin. To be safe and get the best results, it would be best to have a professional do it. Sugar waxing, on the other hand, is a bit easier to use and can easily be done at home. It only uses a sugary substance that can be easily washed off after waxing. Hair clings to the sugary  substance so when you pull the paper strip it comes off with it.

Laser Removal
With this method, the unwanted hair is destroyed at the hair bulb, which means the hair has no chance of growing back. Multiple sessions are usually needed to to achieve the desired results.

Which of these methods have you tried and which one worked for you?
