Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi is an Outrageously Expensive Art

If you were an art collector, would you spend half a billion dollars for a Da Vinci? One such art connoisseur did just that for the "Salvator Mundi" painting that Leonardo made around 1500. This painting features Jesus wearing a blue robe with a crystal ball in his hand as he gazes outward.

The unknown bidder spent a whopping $450.3 million for this piece shocking many art experts. this is the highest amount ever paid for any art piece according to connoiseurs.

Some gallerists said that they would not advise a client to pay that outrageous amount of money for that piece. Apparently, this Da Vinci piece has been retouched so many times that it doesn't seem like master's work anymore. So, maybe it's safe to assume that the new owner of "Salvator Mundi" wasn't aware of this important fact?
